This is the rebuttal I’ve seen to every single post that claims that destiel isn’t canon for some reason or other. No, they’re wrong. It’s all wrong. The one and only reason that destiel isn’t canon is because our society, and therefore our media, is heteronormative.
I am tagging this because this post is addressed to the Supernatural fandom in general. It is not rude, and it does not constitute hate towards any person, real or fictional, or any ship. However, if you strongly believe that destiel should become canon and think that any arguments to the contrary would upset you, you may want to skip this post.
